| Moscow, Russia – July13, 2005 – Mechel OAO (NYSE: MTL) today announced that Svetlana Ardentova, its Chief Financial Officer, will be leaving the company by mutual agreement.
“Ms. Ardentova has helped Mechel develop the finance department and establish financial and reporting mechanisms, and played an important role in our IPO. She has actively participated in the life of the company and contributed to its development. We wish Ms. Ardentova the best of luck in her future career”, Mechel’s CEO, Vladimir Iorich, said.
