Moscow, Russia – 5 May 2017 – Sistema PJSFC (“Sistema” or “the Company”) (LSE: SSA, MOEX: AFKS), a publicly-traded diversified holding company operating primarily in Russia and the CIS, announces that on 25 April 2017 its 100% owned subsidiary, Sistema Finance JSC, acquired 71,433,524 of Sistema's ordinary shares, representing 0.74% of Sistema's share capital for a total consideration of approximately 27.86 million US dollars, from a non-affiliated seller. The shares were purchased for general corporate purposes, including incentive programmes for employees and top management. As a result of this transaction, Sistema Group owns 2.3% of the Company’s total share capital.
