The goal of the investment program is works directed to the technical retooling and reconstruction of the power objects, decrease of the wear off of the equipment.

One of the main strategic goals of IDGC of North-West is the provision of the reliable and failure free power supply for the consumers. To reach it the company developed and successfully implemented the investment program. The results of the program implementation for the  2nd quarter and 6 months of the current year will be considered by the Strategy and Development Committee of the Company’s Board of Directors.

According to the reporting data the plan of the capital investments for 6 months of 2009 all in all in IDGC of North-West is carried out very fast. For the reporting period they actually spent RUR 1.1. billion or 137% of the earlier planed amounts (plan - RUR 822.8 million). For technical re-equipment and reconstruction they spent RUR 461.3 million, for new construction – RUR 613.9. From January to June of the current year the implementation of the fixed assets accounted for RUR 501.9 million.  

According to Vladimir Bloshitsyn, Capital Contraction Deputy General Director of IDGC of North-West (in the photo): “The over fulfillment of the investment program is first of all connected with the fact that the contractors at the set of objects carry out the works very fast taking into account the necessity of the fast putting into operation using their own reserves. Realization of the technological connection projects also reflects the results of the investment program implementation, which exceed the earlier planned amounts”.

The considerable work was carried by IDGC of North-West for the development of the electric gird complex and connection of new consumers. Step by step, they put into operation 55.63 km of power transmission lines (among then 50.8 km of overhead lines) and 9.79 MVA of transformer capacity. The plan of the capacities implementation is 40.19 km of overhead lines and 7.73 MVA.

During the carrying out of the investment policy which realization was reflected in the investment program of 2009, in the second quarter in the branches of IDGC of North-West they put into operation the following power objects.

“Novgoroenergo” completed the construction and put into operation the overhead line of 110 kV, at the substation of “Progress” they created the section –“Moshenskoye” substation and the additional cell at “Progress” substation. The construction was carried out within the framework of technological connection agreement obligations of LLC “Baltnefteprovod”, joint-stock company concerning the transfer of oil  “Transneft” of the oil piping station “Pes” to the power grid “Novgorodenergo”.

Putting into operation of overhead line of 110 kV of 34.94 km will increase the reliability of the power supply of the piping station of the central oil pipe and all Pestovskiy power knot of the Novgorod region. The cost of the construction is RUR 153.4 million.

“Volgogradenenrgo” completed the reconstruction of overhead transitions of 10 kV through the railway road in Gryazovetskiy distribution zone. They changed the cable transitions of overhead line of 1 kV by the overhead ones at Vologda-Yaroslavl area of the Northern railroad. All the transitions are at the territory of Gryazovetskiy district of the Vologda region.

The main reason for substitution of cable lines of 10 kV by overhead ones is the necessity of the constant repair of the cables which are subjected to the corrosion being under the rail road. New transitions of 10 kV overhead line are constructed at high metal bearing constructions with self bearing insulated wire. The total length of all the railroad transitions is 2.176 km. The costs accounted RUR 26.2 million.   

“Kolenergo” puts into operation after the reconstruction the overhead line of 35 kV LK-53/54. They also carried out the separation of circuit of double chain overhead line at the area of op.3-op.7 (1.14 km) with the installation of the second line along the current line of the metal bearing constructions correspondent to the loads accounts. As result of reconstruction they provided the reliability of power supply of the consumers of the city of Monchegorsk, which only source of power supply is substation-370, getting the feeding through overhead line-53/54.

“Komienergo” completed the reconstruction of 110/10 kV “Shakhtinakaya” in the city of Vorkuta. They arranged two sections of automatic regulation of voltage with the additional voltage transformers. The new equipment will allow settling the voltage in the buses of 10 kV and supply the consumers with power correspondent to the necessary parameters of quality. “Shakheterskaya” substation of 110/10 kV supplies the consumers of the city of Vorkuta with electric power, among them are “Hospital city” and the factory of reinforced concrete constructions. They transited RUR 5.3. million to the reconstruction of “Komienergo” substation.

Besides, to develop the product market for six months of the current year IDGC of North-West acquired 19.71 km of power transmission lines and 13.56 MVA of transformer capacity. The consolidated costs of the company accounted for RUR 51.6.
