The exhibition will be held in Moscow at the Specialized Exhibition Facility VVTs from April 17 through April 20. It is purposefully conducted together with the Third Moscow International Forum “The Energy and Society 2002.” The Forum and the exhibition are held under the aegis of the Russian Government, State Duma, Ministries of Energy and of Economy, and the Russian Academy of Sciences. The International Fuel and Energy Association (IFEA) organized both events.

At the exhibition AO MOSENERGO will present the equipment that is used at the company’s facilities and manufactured by ABB VEI Metronika and the scientific and production enterprise Unikhimtek in which AO MOSENERGO was founder and partner since the early 90s.

The equipment exhibited by ABB VEI Metronika will include the latest one- and two-phase electricity meters that range from one- and two-tariff counters for population, to eight-tariff models used by industrial consumers. The exhibits will also include counting systems by ABB VEI Metronika, e.g. some parts of the automated counting and control system enabling remote data collection from electricity meters depending on customer technical needs and financial capabilities. The equipment presented by ABB VEI Metronika fully matches the needs of Russian energy systems and utilities.

AO MOSENERGO’s exhibits will include the new equipment jointly developed by Unikhimtek and scientists from the Moscow State University with support from AO MOSENERGO. This new equipment is designed to increase the effectiveness of environmental and fire safety of utilities. The new items include thermo-expanding fire-proof materials OGRAX for passive protection of metal and wooden constructions and cables; graphite seals GRAFLEX for tubing, pumps and joints; seals for German Sultzer pumps manufactured at AO MOSENERGO’s request. This equipment meets the highest power-saving and environmental requirements. Currently, it is widely used by RAO UES, as well as in oil and gas production, construction companies, as well as in municipal utilities.

Viktor Avdeev, general director of Unikhimtek as well as aprofessor of chemistry from the Moscow State University, will speak at the press conference scheduled for April 19 within the TEK-HIGHTECH exhibition, in cooperation with AO MOSENERGO and Unikhimtek.

The exhibition will demonstrate the most advanced Russian and foreign achievements in the area of electric utilities. The invitation to participate in the exhibition has been extended to leading Russian and foreign oil and gas companies, electric utilities, as well as companies that support their operations, financial and industrial groups, banks, insurance companies, investment and consulting companies, research institutes, small and medium enterprises.
