Vagit Alekperov, OAO LUKOIL President, jointly with Vladimir Ustinov, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Southern Federal Okrug, and Alexander Zhilkin, Governor of the Astrakhan Region, visited the ASPO Shipbuilding Yard, where the assembly is underway of a drilling complex for the ice-resistant stationary platform (IRP-1) located at V.Filanovsky field.

All the facilities for the field-infrastructure development were constructed at Astrakhan’s shipyards. Currently, the platforms are fixed in the Caspian Sea and the equipment is being assembled.

Mr. Alekperov held a meeting with the heads of all contractor organizations engaged in the project. The production drilling at V.Filanovsky field is scheduled to begin in the end of 2015.
