Moscow. 6 October 2004. The member of the Management Board and Financial Director of RAO "UES of Russia" Dmitry Zhurba and the Chairman of the Audit Committee under the Board of Directors of RAO "UES of Russia" Seppo Remes will participate in CFO Global Energy Forum, which will take place on 7-8 October in London. The Forum has been organized by the Financial Times and Deloitte & Touche for Chief Financial Officers of the world's largest energy companies.

As the Forum Chairman, Seppo Remes will deliver a report entitled "Challenges of Energy Company Reporting in the Future" discussing the possible changes in the accounting policies of energy companies in connection with adoption of the new International Financial Reporting Standards. The Forum will also address the problems of energy companies' investor relations, mechanisms to achieve more efficient corporate governance, questions relating to repayment of companies' debts.

Among the Forum participants are the world's largest energy companies, such as AES (USA), E.ON (Germany), Endesa (Spain), Fortum (Finland), Electricite de France (France), Norsk Hydro (Norway), RoyalDutchShell (Holland), PetroChina (China), and others.
