5 August 2008, Moscow. COMSTAR – United TeleSystems (COMSTAR-UTS OJSC, LSE: CMST), a major operator of integrated telecommunications services in Russia and the CIS, is implementing, through COMSTAR-Moscow (its business subdivision), the project for provision of Bell Integrator, one of the leading companies on Russia’s IT technologies and systems integration market, with telecommunications services.
Under the COMSTAR-UTS/Bell Integrator Contract, the Operator, using the resources of its Backbone Next Generation Multi-Service Network (NGN), installed a 10 Mbps broadband Internet access channel at the Bell Integrator’s headquarters and also connected 10 telephone lines within an E1 to 2 external numbers. Digital telephony via E1/PRI endows voice communications with ultra-high quality combined with ultimate voice data transmission reliability.
The Moscow-based COMSTAR-UTS NGN, employed in this Project, comprises hundreds of access nodes and fiber optic communications lines, has a throughput of up to 1 Gbps, and offers extensive coverage area, high reliability and controllability. Technical solutions employed by the Operator (IP/MPLS-based packet switching) ensure the committed QoS, CoS, performance and fail-safe operation. COMSTAR-UTS Network allows provision of unparalleled service to the customers, in particular, the state-of-the-art voice services, data transmission and telematic services. “Bell Integrator is a company working on a high-tech market with major partners and customers representing telecommunications, civil air transport service, banking sector and other advanced industries. Therefore, to us, the quality and reliability of corporate telecommunications infrastructure are crucial,” said Igor Moseikin, Technical Director, Bell Integrator. “COMSTAR-UTS offered optimal engineering parameters and economic terms for cooperation in arranging communications for our company. We expect our cooperation to continue. More specifically, the project for expansion of scope of digital telephony services up to 4 E1 channels is already being contemplated, and subsequently, as our company expands aggressively into the foreign market, the possibility of choosing COMSTAR-UTS as an ILD operator is not ruled out, either. |
