Current expenditure on environmental protection in 2010 amounted to 10.5 mln.
IDGC North-West is implementing a set of environmental measures to avoid air and water pollution, protection and rational use of land, reducing the impact of physical factors on the environment. Current expenditure on environmental protection in 2010 amounted to 10.5 mln. For the implementation of the most significant events in the field of environmental protection - 85 million rubles.

The modern equipment installed in the frames of the networks upgrading and changing of  outdated equipment will allow to reduce negative impacts on the environment during transportation and distribution of electric energy

In order to reduce the negative effect , the part of waste is transferred to specialized organizations for recycling and disposal. In 2010, for processing and further use was sent 213.4 tons of metals, 16.3 tons of waste tires, 88.4 tons of waste oil.

In the process of environmental protection during 2010 in the branches of “IDGCNorth-West," were provided the works on the land reclamation with  total area  81.22 hectares. The need for rehabilitation is the result of the work on reconstruction and construction of overhead transmission lines.

“IDGC North-West" approved the Program of the Environmental Policy for 2010-2012  and conducted an internal environmental audit .The priority objectives of the company in the field of environmental protection are to ensure the reduction of negative impact on environment and  evaluation of environmental management with a view to improving it.
