Vologdaenergo, a Branch of IDGC of the North-West, Connected Fifteen 35 to 110 kV Substations to a Telecommunications Network

With the innovative project, scheduled until the end of 2012, the company wants to build an advanced fiber-optic communications system.
In implementing a telecommunications network upgrade project, Vologdaenergo, a branch of IDGC of the North-West, integrated Vashkinsky and Sokolsky distribution zones, and fifteen 35 to 110 kV substations via fiber-optic lines. The Grid Company is also going to connect Velikoustyugsky distribution zone to the telecommunications network.
With the innovative project, scheduled until the end of 2012, the company wants to build an advanced fiber-optic communications system. Digital communications will allow necessary amounts and rates of data exchange to be provided between control centers and main energy facilities of Vologdaenergo.
