UTK PJSC was the first among the Russian inter-regional telecom companies to conduct a competition of engineers operating telephone exchanges of SI-2000 type

This professional competition was organized by Southern Telecommunications Company PJSC and Iskratel CJSC. The main purpose of the competition was to increase motivation of employees, stimulate their interest in improvement of professional qualification, give incentives to the best specialists. The competition consisted of two stages. The first stage dealt with theoretical questions, 50 engineers from all UTK branches operating telephone exchanges of SI-2000 type took part in it. The participants answered 20 questions placed on the web-site of Iskratel. The independent commission of experts chose nine engineers of Southern Telecommunications Company PJSC who had shown the best results. They were engineers of UTK branches "Kubanelectrosvyaz" and "Sevosetinelectrosvyaz".

The final stage of the competition took place in Krasnodar, in Training and Production Center - branch of Southern Telecommunications Company PJSC. The best professionals of the Company were greeted by UTK General director Ivan Ignatenko and UTK Deputy general director - technical director Nikolay Martynenko under whose initiative this competition was carried out.

The participants were to fulfill the same practical task in turn. Professional mastership of the engineers were estimated by a jury consisting of the first deputy director - director of Private Joint-Stock Company Iskratel Igor Vodnik, director of installation and service department of Private Joint-Stock Company IskraUralTEL Oleg Merkulov, director of Training and Production Center - branch of Southern Telecommunications Company PJSC Yury Belov.

The winner of the contest Alexey Kodentsev ("Kubanelectrosvyaz") won the main prize instituted by Iskratel CJSC - a one-week trip to Slovenia Republic. Victor Burachenko ("Sevosetinelectrosvyaz") took the second place, Arthur Artynov ("Kubanelectrosvyaz") took the third place.
