Kotelnaya 35/10 kv substation is the best in Samara distribution grids

A review contest for the best technical and aesthetic condition of 35–100 kV substations took place in Samara Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies). During a month, the Central Committee of the Samara branch evaluated energy facilities of all production departments.

Kotelnaya 35/10 kV substation of Chapayevsky Production Department demonstrated the best results. The second prize was awarded to Sad-Gorod 110/35/10 kV substation (Volzhsky PD) and the third place was taken by Portovaya 110/6 kV substation (Zhigulevskoye PD). The facilities were evaluated against several criteria. The Committee took into account technical and aesthetic condition of equipment: power transformers, distribution units, switches, current and voltage transformers, relay protection and automated control, SCS as well as buildings, structures and sites.

The results were calculated on the score basis. The facility that has been declared the best in the Samara branch will participate in the review contest of all branches of IDGC of Volga. Kotelnaya 35/10 kV substation is the main power hub of the administration of Chapayevsk city district, social infrastructure — the boiler house, kindergartens, community center, vocational college, and other consumers. The review contest of 35–110 kV substations is held every year. The main goal of the event is to improve power supply reliability as well as to develop high production culture among the employees, increase quality of substations maintenance and identify and summarize the best examples of substations operation.
