Head of Rosseti (JSC “Russian Grids”) Oleg Budargin met with ABB Region Power Products Division Head in Europe Matteo Marini (ABB group) and ABB Russia President Anatoliy Popov.

The parties discussed areas of future joint work for the purposes of realizing Cooperation Agreement concerning development, production and implementation of innovative electrical equipment and systems for power grids signed by Oleg Budargin and Anatoliy Popov at the Electrotechnical Forum “RuGrids-Electro” in October 2014.

During the meeting the parties held talks on long-term cooperation including localization in the Russian Federation of electrical equipment and systems for power grids production and their supply to power facilities of the Rosseti’s subsidiaries.

Summarizing the meeting results both Rosseti and ABB expressed the willingness to continue and develop the cooperation.

In particular, Matteo Marini noted: “I would like to emphasize that ABB company is absolutely pleased by organizing our partnership with Rosseti. Equipment for power transmission and distribution is our profile. We would like “ABB” to be regarded in Russia as a local company, and we are doing our best developing widely our manufacture”.

Matteo Marini highlighted that “ABB” is ready to expand investment in Russia despite any external circumstances. Rosseti is a partner which understands us. We are ready to regard any ways of cooperation including offering solutions for Smart Grid developing in Russia”, said Marini.

Whereas, Oleg Budargin stated that “today it is important to fix and continue to develop those joint results reached during the past years”. “We appreciate “ABB” as a reliable partner in the sphere of upgrading grid infrastructure. In addition, it needs to think of realizing integrated projects in federal subjects of Russia,” said Rosseti Head.
