Moscow, 21 September 2004. On 13 September the new members of the Valuation Committee under the Board of Directors of RAO "UES of Russia" held the first meeting of the Committee. They heard the Committee's report on its activities for two years.
The meeting also considered the Committee's goals for the next year and proposed amendments to the Regulation on the Activities of the Valuation Committee. For the purposes of conducting independent expert examinations of appraisal reports, the Committee decided to form an Expert Council based on the self-regulatory appraisal companies (Self-Regulatory Interregional Association of Appraisers, Russian Collegium of Appraisers, and Russian Society of Appraisers).
The Valuation Committee considered the information on the conclusion of an agreement between RAO "UES of Russia" and Deloitte & Touche on the review of reports on the appraisal of assets contributed to the authorized capitals of the Wholesale Generation Companies (WGCs) in order to ascertain that these appraisal reports comply with the requirements of the Methodology for Valuation of the Business and Assets of OAO RAO "UES of Russia" and its SDCs.
