On working meeting between Alexander Ananenkov and Motoyuki Oka

The Gazprom Headquarters today has convened a working meeting between Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Motoyuki Oka, President & CEO of Sumitomo Corporation.

The parties appreciated the current progress in the bilateral cooperation and addressed the possibility of interacting within promising projects for liquefied natural gas production, transportation and marketing.

The parties also reviewed proposals by Sumitomo Corporation covering the use of its technology and equipment at Gazprom owned upstream facilities.

Alexander Ananenkov informed Motoyuki Oka of new directions of cooperation emerging with the launch of the Program on setting up a gas production, transmission and supply system in Eastern Siberia and the Far East, taking into account potential exports of Russian natural gas to Asia Pacific. Particular attention was paid to possible interaction in establishing gas processing and chemicals infrastructure in Russia’s East, and marketing gas byproducts, helium inclusive.

The parties expressed mutual interest in promoting the dialogue on the development of East Siberian and Far Eastern machine building facilities with a view to use their capacities within the Program implementation.
