On September 6, 2004 the Board of OJSC North-West Telecom made the decision to allocate 5 million rubles for the addressed financial aid to the victims of the tragic events in Beslan, North Osetia.

In addition to the centralized aid from the company budget, donations of NWT employees are being collected. Humanitarian aid is being collected for the Red Cross of St. Petersburg: garments, children’s books, toys, cassettes with children’s films and animated cartoons.

We are shocked by the appalling crime which took place in Beslan. Together with all people of our country we mourn for the slain children. It is a great ordeal and a horrible disaster for all of us. We deeply feel for our fellow countrymen who lost their relatives and friends during these days. We express our solidarity and support.
