An innovation proposal of the staff at the Eastern Production Department of Orenburgenergo, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies), will reduce the time of interruptions in power supply in case of technological failures.

The rationalization idea of the mobile 10/0.4 kV transformer substation was proposed by the Chief of the Relay Protection and Automation Service Vitaly Boyko, and electrical/gas welder Sergey Kukin. They made necessary calculations and drawings, prepared documentation and participated in the assembly of the full-size model. This development enables to provide power to consumers by the direct connection method, as well as by the reverse transformation scheme for the duration of repair works due to technological failures. The use of the mobile substation will not only reduce the time of interruption in the power supply, but will also ensure the safety of the staff and residents who may happen to be close to a broken wire.

The development is implemented in all production departments of Orenburgenergo. Now the possibility of obtaining the title of protection, a patent for the utility model, is considered.
