At the Gazprom Headquarters Alexander Ananenkov, Acting Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee endorsed the Industry Automation, Metrological Support and Communication Standards System for Gazprom Production and Technology Complex prepared by the Department for Technology Control System Automation.

The need to develop the Standards System is driven by objective trends in the automation, telecommunication systems and communication sector as well as related sectors, particularly, metrological support. This is stimulated by:

• fast technology development;
• need to solve new problems in the automation and telecommunication sector;
• need to execute the united technical policy in the automation, metrology communication and telecommunication sector aimed at providing operation of the Gazprom production and technology complex;
• need to consolidate the existing normative base, its analysis and develop Gazprom’s standards fulfilling advanced level of technology development due to specific gas sector production and technology processes.
