Ivan Medvedev, Director of Komienergo branch, told the journalists of the regional mass media about the plans directed to the implementation of the long-term tariffs concerning the RAB- method in the Republic of Komi and activities directed to the increase of power efficiency.

Ivan Medvedev, Director of Komienergo branch, told the journalists of the regional mass media about the  results of work in the expiring year and plans directed to the implementation of the long-term tariffs concerning the RAB- method in the Republic of Komi and activities directed to the increase of power efficiency. The press-conference took place on December 16 in Syktyvkar. 

At the beginning of December, they signed the agreement “On implementation in “Komienergo” branch of IDGC of North-West of the tariff regulation system on the basis of the regulation assets base method between IDGC of North-West and Tariffs Service of the Republic of Komi. The agreement determines that in the 1 quarter of 2010 they will consider the long term investment program of IDGC of North-West in the territory of the Republic of Komi, the material concerning the assessment of the cost of the initial base of the investment assets and the account of the necessary gross revenue.

“This 5 year program accounting for RUR 14 billion. Out of them RUR 7 billion is determined for the activities directed to the increase of the reliability of the electric grids and the same amount is determined for the decrease of the operation costs”, said I. Medvedev. This is the major difference from RAB method. It creates the economy opportunities for the decrease of the operation costs,” said I. Medvedev.

The grid company is obliged during the year to decrease its costs. Together with this the saved means remain in the company for the period of regulation. These means can be directed to the development of the industry. Tariff service will assess the results of work taking into consideration the indices of the reliability and quality of the consumers service.

“The operation costs can be dropped with the implementation of the new technologies. For example we need to substitute the rest 1.5 thousand circuit breakers by the vacuum ones, which allows to decrease the costs for their service. Decrease of costs will be provided by the substitution of the wire at the lines of 10 kV by the insulated one which can bear the ice and fallen trees.”

In accordance with the Federal Law “On power saving and increase of power productivity and on implementation of changes to the separate legislative acts of the Russian federation” since January 1, 2011 the state regulation of the tariffs for the services directed to the electric power transmission is carried out only in the form of determination of the long term regulation parameters. The terms of transition during 2010 are determined by the Government of the Russian Federation. 

Ivan Medvedev “Komienergo” branch Director said that 2010 is announced the year of productivity and power saving and will be carried out under the slogan “Energy saving”. 

Today “Komienergo” works out the large-scale program of activities directed to the increase of the productivity of power supply and power saving at the objects of the company. Its constituent part is the use of the new technologies and decrease of losses in the electric grids. Till May 15, Komienergo presents to the Government of the Russian Federation the power saving program up to 2013. 

The topical is the theme of the equipping of the buildings with the units of account. The installation of such units will help to see not only the real spending, but also control the consumed power. To optimize the costs the residents of the house can implement the power saving technologies - light-emitting diode lamps, and the motion sensors in the houses as well as pay for the electric power by the double tariff meter. According to the assessments of the specialists of “Komienergo”, the productive effect from the installation of the all-house unit is reached during the first year of the operation.

Besides, the specialists of power companies plan to tell about the ways of the productive use of the electric power in schools and management housing companies and in the mass media.
