IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) held a meeting attended by deputy heads of security departments, as well as heads and specialists of security departments. The meeting was held to summarize performance for 2015 and to discuss challenges for 2016.
“Operations of security sector is based on analysis of the situation in the country and in the industry. Primarily, the efforts are focused on identification, prevention and elimination of risks that might affect safe and reliable business processes. Last year, safety departments of the company and its branches successfully implemented their tasks,” notes Vladimir Ponomaryov, Deputy General Director for Safety of IDGC of Volga, PJSC.
The meeting addressed a number of issues related to financial and economic situation across IDGC of Volga, PJSC and the role of security services in maintaining its sustainability. Issues discussed included overdue receivables related to electricity transmission services. Based on analysis of the safety sector operations in 2015, new priorities to focus on in 2016 were defined for safety sector units. In view of serious economic risks associated with payment defaults and general growth in overdue accounts receivables related to electricity transmission services, operations in this sector are of high priority.
Participants of the meeting paid special attention to entire package of statutory measures to enforce payment of the debt by contractors. Debt recovery progress must be traced on a daily basis for each contractor, with assessment of performance of each involved business unit. Renovation of electrical networks based on Smart Grid technology is yet another focus area. In this regard, IDGC of Volga, PJSC places greater focus on increasing efficiency of control and traceability of power grid facilities due to implementation of innovative and information technologies.
To ensure safety at power facilities, in January the Company developed a program for implementation of a single unified information security system across electric network entities. One of the agenda items was to discuss the program implementation issues. Generally, Aleksey Zaytsev, Head of Administration of Information and Regional Safety of the Economic Safety Department of Rosseti, PJSC positively assessed performance of the safety sector units of IDGC of Volga, PJSC.
