Aeroflot strengthens its positions in Ural region

Since August 23 Aeroflot-Russian Airlines increased flights on Moscow-Chelyabinsk-Moscow route up to five flights a week.

Beside three flights (2nd, 4th, 6th days of the week) two more flights (1st and 3rd days of the week) by Tu-134 have been introduced according to the following schedule:

Su-793 (1st, 3rd days) departs from Moscow (Sheremetyevo-1) at 17.45, arrives in Chelyabinsk at 21.35

Su-794 (1st, 3rd days) departs from Chelyabinsk at 22.55, arrives in Moscow (Sheremetyevo-1) at 23.55

Su-793 (2nd, 4th, 6th days) departs from Moscow (Sheremetyevo-1) at 17.00, arrives in Chelyabinsk at 21.35

Su-794 (2nd, 4th, 6th days) departs from Chelyabinsk at 23.05, arrives in Moscow (Sheremetyevo-1) at 23.55

Ural region is one of the prior ones in Aeroflot strategy on developing home market of air carriages.

Aeroflot started its flights to the capital of South Ural on September 1, 2000, making three daily flights on the route Moscow-Chelyabinsk-Moscow by Tu-134. Flight frequency increase will enable to supply growing demand for Aeroflot services in this direction.

In comparison with 2002 Aeroflot representative office in Chelyabinsk increased carriages of passengers from Chelybinsk to Moscow by 13 % - up to 8815 passengers – in 2003. Freight carriages increased by 90% - up to 31 tons. Seats’ occupation rate increased by 10 % - up to 87%.

In July 2004 earnings of Aeroflot-Russian Airlines representative office in Chelyabinsk raised from 4 million rubles up to 6 million rubles if compared with July 2003; carriage of passengers amounted to 776 passengers compared to 827; freight carriages increased from 3.6 up to 4.4 tons; seats’ occupation rate amounted to 80%.
