During the overhaul at the isoprene monomer plant of OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim the works have been completed for revamping of methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) production unit in order to expand its capacity.

Asa result, the original plant capacity has been exceeded by nearly 38%. Innovations implemented by the plant workers will not only enable the increase of MTBE, that is one of the high-octane oxygen-containing components, but will also improve performance indicators.
