Specialists of Samara distribution grids summarized results of 2016 repair campaign

Samara Distribution Grids, a branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group), summarized the results of 2016 repair campaign implementation.

As a part of the 2016 program, the repair of 57 substations (35–110 kV), including 439 disconnect switches of all voltage classes, 431 transformers, 287 isolating switches, and 718 cylindrical post insulators was performed. 23,700 insulators and over 1,700 supports were replaced, about 1,500 km of 35–110 kV overhead lines and more than 2,300 km of 0.4–10 kV lines were renovated. The repair of 685 package transformer substations of 6–10 kV was completed.

In addition, for trouble-free operation of linear objects and successful completion of the top load season, vegetation management activities along overhead lines were performed in the area of 1,000 ha.

Along, in the framework of the repair program, preparation of the electric grid facilities for 2018 FIFA World Cup is being conducted, designed for 2016–2018. So in 2016, 2,831 insulators were replaced on the key overhead power lines, involved in the electric power supply of the whole city — Moskovskaya–1,2 and Semeykino–1,2 110 kV overhead lines. Repair of buildings and fences, as well as the interior structures of 10 (35–110 kV) substations was performed. Additionally, channels of communication, lighting and insulation were organized at 12 power facilities. In spring and summer, works on painting of metal poles of Gorodskaya–1 (110 kV) power line (a branch-line from Promyshlennaya–2 to Gorodskaya 110 kV substation), 110 kV Moskovskaya–1,2,3, 110 kV Luch–1,2, Kurumoch–1,2 were carried out. Besides, the scheduled routine repair of the urban transformer substations was completed.

The annual series of measures aimed at the repair and replacement of electrical equipment is a priority for Samara Distribution Grids. Quality and full implementation of the repair program enables to ensure regular operation of power facilities, reduce technical obsolescence of equipment and provide reliable and quality power supply to consumers.
