Rostelecom, Russia’s national long-distance telecommunications operator, provided its network to support the nationwide toll-free Hot-line with the Minister of Education and Science. In Moscow the Minister of Education and Science Andrei Fursenko answered a number of questions posed by citizens from all over the country.

The Hot-line was organized using technological capabilities of Rostelecom’s intelligent network as well as the Call Center of the Company’s subsidiary MTs NTT. Among the issues discussed there were those focusing on the development of education in Russia, its integration into the global educational environment and the implementation of the National Project “Education”.

To give citizens in every Russian region an opportunity to pose questions to the Minister, Rostelecom provided its 8-800-200-40-40 toll-free number. The calls could be made directly, through the operator or from a public call office.

Rostelecom was one of the pioneers in offering intelligent network services in Russia. As of today, the services with the highest levels of demand include “Freephone (8-800-200)” and “Televoting” provided across the entire country that gives the Company another competitive advantage.
