Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee held a meeting in Saint Petersburg today dedicated to Ladoga-32 gas-pumping units (GPU) manufacturing, testing and utilization. The meeting took place at the premises of REP Holding.

Participating in the meeting were heads and experts from Gazprom’s specialized subdivisions and subsidiary companies, representatives from R&D and design institutions, as well as gas-pumping equipment manufacturers: REP Holding, NPO Iskra and others.

“Ladoga-32 is a state-of-the-art domestically manufactured unit designed for operation under severe conditions. Therefore, Gazprom is interested in this unit. The Company is planning to use Ladoga-32 GPU for the Bovanenkovo – Ukhta gas trunkline system construction,” noted Alexander Ananenkov in his opening speech.

In addition, the meeting addressed the manufacturing process and the prospects for Ladoga-32 GPU testing. In particular, the discussion centered on GPU’s operating features. Consideration was also given to manufacturing of Ladoga-32 GPU for delivery to and pilot testing at the Vavozhskaya and Gryazovetskaya compressor stations.

Following the results of the meeting specialized subdivisions and subsidiaries were tasked to promptly cooperate with Ladoga-32 GPU manufacturers in order to timely produce and test the unit.

The participants of the meeting visited the production workshops and the test bench of REP Holding.

Background:

REP Holding is focused on engineering, production and supply of electrical and power-generating equipment for the gas, oil, metallurgical, chemical, power generation and shipbuilding industries. The Holding embraces such prominent enterprises as Nevsky Plant, Nevsky Metallurgical Plant and Electropult Plant.

REP Holding manufactures the Ladoga-32 GPU notable for a high efficiency level (36 per cent), low emissions and a long operating life as compared to other Russian industrial devices.
