Bashneft has completed the establishment of an oilfield service holding company on the basis of LLC Bashneft-Service Assets, its wholly owned subsidiary.
The Chairman of Bashneft’s Board of Directors Felix Evtushenkov has headed the Board of LLC Bashneft-Service Assets; Kamil Zakirov has been appointed General Director of the company.
The oilfield service holding company managed by LLC Bashneft-Service Assets comprises 11 oilfield service organizations with market development potential:
- LLC Bashneft-Bureniye;
- LLC Ufimsky Administration of Underground Workover;
- LLC Bashkirsky Branch of Well Workover;
- LLC Oktyabrsky Plant of Oilfield Equipment;
- LLC Neftekamsky Plant of Oilfield Equipment;
- LLC Department of Motor Vehicles of Bashneft;
- LLC Oktyabrskoye Administration of Utility Vehicles;
- LLC Arlanskoye Administration of Utility Vehicles;
- LLC Arlanskoye Administration of Maintenance of Site Access Roads;
- LLC Transkhim;
- LLC Yanaulskoye Administration of Neftestroymontazh.
The abovementioned enterprises provide services related to drilling, current and major workover of wells, manufacture of oilfield and mechanical equipment, as well as transportation and construction.
As has been reported earlier, it is planned to divest the enterprises comprising the oilfield service holding company of JSOC Bashneft to promote competition, following international practice in the industry.
Note: Kamil Zakirov, the General Director of LLC Bashneft-Service Assets, was born on February 19, 1968. He graduated from Samara State Technical University in 1992 and from the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies in 1998. In 2008, Mr. Zakirov graduated from INSEAD Business School (France). He began his career in 1993 as the head of the Moscow office of JV Ramco Alnas Ltd. In 1996–2001, he held the positions of senior manager at Ramco Caspian Ltd., and operations director at Ramco Energy Moscow Limited. In 2002–2004, Mr. Zakirov was the Vice President for Oilfield Service at Access Industries (Eurasia). In 2004–2007, he held the position of Business Development Manager at Weatherford International (U.S.), and in 2007–2010, he was the Vice President for Russia and the CIS at Weatherford International (U.S.). Starting from 2010 and until his transfer to Bashneft, he was the Vice President of LLC Newtech Services.
