According to TNS Gallup Media rating, RBC Daily's audience rose 27% over three months

Moscow, June 14, 2007 - The average issue readership (AIR) of RBC Daily in Moscow rose 27% to 85,000 people in the period from December 2006 to April 2007 as compared to the previous rating1, according to the recent data published by the independent media researcher TNS Gallup Media2. In the same period, the RBC magazine increased its average issue readership in Moscow by 10% from 158,300 to 174,500 people.

"We are very much pleased with the rating's results, especially with how quickly RBC Daily becomes popular among its target audience amid a readership reduction experienced by our competitors. We will continue to develop our print media sources and grow their market share by issuing special issues and regular supplements and expanding our regional distribution network," - said Artyom Inyutin, RBC Media General Director.

The first issue of the print version of the business newspaper RBC Daily was published in 65,000 copies on September 25, 2006. Previously it was issued only online at www.rbcdaily.ru. Currently the audience of this web site exceeds 80,000 unique users per day. The RBC monthly business magazine went print in March 2006 and currently has a circulation of 105,000 copies, which are distributed nationwide. Both titles are owned by OAO RBC Information Systems (MICEX, RTS: RBCI). The magazine reached profitability at an operating level in the 1st quarter of 2007, i.e. just one year since the launch, due to strong synergies with RBC's media business.

According to TNS Gallup, the 6-month audience of RBC Daily in Moscow has reached 504,400 people (5.6% of the adult population of Moscow). Of them, 38.6% are men of 25-44 years old. More than 63% are company heads or specialists, over 68% of readers characterized their income as enabling them to buy expensive goods and services.

The 6-month audience of the RBC magazine is estimated by TNS Gallup at 312,200 people (3.4% of Muscovites). Of them, 68% are people with higher education, over 67% are representatives of the middle class and people with high income. One third of readers (33%) occupy managerial positions, and over 35% are specialists and other employees.

1 - September 2006 - February 2007, but RBC Daily and the RBC magazine were included on the rating starting from December 2006
2 - Media National Readership Survey - Moscow is conducted by TNS Gallup among the adult population of Moscow aged 16 and over. The total sample size is 45,000 interviews per year. The survey method is based on telephone interviews (CATI - Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing).
