Starting January 1st 2004, the branch “Cherepovetselektrosviaz” North-West Telecom   was transformed into Cherepovets unified communication center of “Electrosvyaz of Vologda region” brunch. Thus, starting January 1, 2004, communication services on the territory of the Vologda region are provided by one branch of the North-West Telecom OJSC.

Reorganization of the branches “Cherepovetselektrosviaz” and “Electrosvyaz of Vologda region”  has been carried out within the framework of the program related to reforming the management structure of OJSC North-West Telecom , business consolidation and optimizing the number of the Company’s staff.

Preparatory work related to reorganization of the branches of OJSC North-West Telecom on the territory of the Vologoda region has been performed during all the previous year.

Consolidation of the branches is intended to facilitate consolidation of financial resources, forming the unified tariff policy on the territory of the Vologoda region, and balancing the branch budget in the region. The potential of the consolidated branch will be conducive to increase the competitiveness of OJSC North-West Telecom in the most promising and foreground segments of the Vologoda region telecommunication market.
