NLMK General Director retires

Vladimir Nastich, NLMK’s Senior Vice-President – General Director has announced that he is to retire on October 11th, 2010. 

The Board of NLMK would like to express its appreciation for Mr Nastich’s many years of hard work for the benefit of the Company, his valuable contribution towards enhancing NLMK’s technical capabilities and his promotion of its strategic development plans.

Vladimir Lisin, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said: “Mr Nastich has actively participated in the development of the Company throughout various stages in its history, seeing it through both peak and difficult periods. It is hard to overestimate the  contribution he has made towards our current stability and high levels of performance. On behalf of all the staff and management, I would like to sincerely thank Mr Nastich for his work and wish him well in his retirement.”

The position of NLMK’s Senior Vice-President – General Director will remain vacant until the new appointment.

For reference:
Vladimir Nastich was born in 1953 in the city of Donetsk. He has been NLMK’s Senior Vice-President – General Director since 2006. From 2004 to June 2006 he was NLMK’s General Director. He worked as Chief Engineer, First Deputy Vice President from 2000 until 2004. From 1998 to 2000 Mr Nastich served as Metallurgy Director, prior to which he was Production Director (from 1996 to 1998). He began his career at NLMK in 1975 as a rolling-mill worker. He is a graduate of the Donetsk Polytechnic Institute. PhD., Tech. Honorary Metallurgist. Knight of the Order of Honour. He was awarded with an Order of Merit in recognition of his services to Lipetsk.
