Lenta opens its 26th supermarket in Moscow

St-Petersburg, Russia; 01June, 2015– Lenta, (LSE, MOEX: LNTA) one of the largest retail chains in Russia, is pleased to announce the opening of its twenty-sixth supermarket in Moscow.

The new store is located at 18V Budennogo Street, Moscow. The supermarket has a total area of 1,366 sq.m with 918 sq.m of selling space and is open from 8 am to 11 pm, seven days a week. The store provides a broad product assortment of approximately 6,500 SKUs including Lenta private label and federal product ranges alongside local produce. The store has 40 parking spaces and 8 cash registers. The property is leased by Lenta.

This latest opening is Lenta’s second supermarket opening in 2015 and brings the total number of Lenta stores to 114 hypermarkets in 62 cities across Russia and 26 supermarkets in Moscow.

Lenta is one of the largest retail chains in Russia and the country’s second largest hypermarket chain (in terms of 2014 sales). The Company was founded in 1993 in St. Petersburg. Lenta operates 114 hypermarkets in 621 cities across Russia and 26 supermarkets in Moscow, with a total of approximately 740,033 sq.m of selling space. The average Lenta hypermarket store has selling space of approximately 6,300 sq.m. The Company operates five owned hypermarket distribution centres.
