Moscow. 1 July 2004. The Chairman of the Management Board of RAO "UES of Russia" Anatoly Chubais said that he is satisfied with the results of today's meeting with the Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov. "During the two-hours talk, we had a detailed discussion of virtually all aspects of the electricity industry reform. Today I have received a confirmation of the Government's position that is of paramount importance – the need for the reform is not doubted, its cancellation is not on the agenda." According to Anatoly Chubais, today's meeting also confirmed that the previously taken resolutions on energy systems' reorganization and interregional integration of the newly established companies are not subject to revision and must be implemented in full. Anatoly Chubais emphasized that the management of RAO UES Holding is ready to engage in large-scale efforts to evaluate the reform progress, make reasonable adjustments, and implement these decisions
