Moscow, May 8, 2008. The Russian Trading System (RTS) stock exchange put ordinary shares of OJSC INTER RAO UES on the list of securities authorized for trading.

The decision to approve amendments to the list of securities authorized for trading on the RTS stock exchange was made by the RTS Chairman of the Board on May 7, 2008. The amendment will become effective on May 14, 2008. OJSC INTER RAO UES stock will be put on the RTS “I” quotation list.

OJSC INTER RAO UES filed an application for its stock to be put on the “I” quotation list of MICEX. A decision on the listing of OJSC INTER RAO UES shares on MICEX stock exchange is expected in May or June 2008.

The listing of OJSC INTER RAO UES shares on stock exchanges enables the RAO UES of Russia shareholders, who after the liquidation of the electric power holding company on July 1, 2008 will become shareholders of OJSC INTER RAO UES, to trade OJSC INTER RAO UES shares on open stock markets. It will also enable OJSC INTER RAO UES to launch a depositary receipt programme in tandem with The Bank of New York in July 2008. The planned issue is expected to cover 7-12 % of the company's stock, with securities planned to float on major stock exchanges in Europe.
