Russian, European and Ukrainian experts consider European energy sector pressing challenges at Gazprom’s headquarters

The Gazprom headquarters hosted today roundtable discussion “European Energy Sector Pressing Challenges”.

Among the Russian, European and Ukrainian experts participating in the discussion were:

Leonid Grigoryev – Management Faculty Dean at the International University in Moscow, World Economy and World Policy Faculty, Professor of the National Research University (Higher School of Economics), WWF Russia Board Chairman;

Anatoly Dmitrievsky – Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), Director of the Oil and Gas Research Institute under RAS, Deputy Chairman of the RAS Research Council for Oil and Gas Geology and Geochemistry;

Sergey Komlev – Head of the Contract Structuring and Pricing Directorate, Gazprom export, PhD in Economics;

Svetlana Melnikova – Researcher at the International Energy Markets Research Center under the RAS Energy Research Institute;

Nikolai Nikitin – Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of the Oil and Gas Vertical Journal, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Technological Sciences;

Anatoly Podmyshalsky – Head of the FSU Relations Directorate, Gas and Liquid Hydrocarbons Marketing and Processing Department, Gazprom; Director General of Gazprom sbyt Ukraine;

Sergey Pravosudov – Director General of the National Energy Institute;

Konstantin Simonov – Director General of the National Energy Security Fund, PhD in Politics;

Vladimir Feigin – Director of the Institute for Energy and Finance Fund, Deputy Director General of the East-West Business Cooperation Fund;

Christof van Agt – Senior Researcher of the Energy Studies Program under the Netherlands Institute for International Relations Clingendael in The Hague (Netherlands);

Christoph Weber – Professor of Energy Economics, Duisburg University (Germany);

Christian Grovitsh – Managing Director, Professor of the Energy Economics Institute (Cologne, Germany);

Catherine Locatelli – Research Fellow of the Laboratory for Economic Aspects of International Integration of the Center for Social and Economic Research under the National Center for Scientific Research (Grenoble, France);

Dmitry Vydrin – independent political analyst, adviser to Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovich;

Valentin Zemlyansky – independent energy expert;

Evgeny Kopatko – Research&Branding Group founder and head;

Mikhail Pogrebinsky – Director of the Kiev Center for Political Studies and Conflictology;

Vladimir Fesenko – Chairman of the Boardat the Penta Applied Political Studies Center, PhD in Philosophy.

A press conference was held after the roundtable discussion. The press conference was attended by Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Alexander Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee, Director General of Gazprom export.
