TGC-9

April 10, 2007

Perm energy system has successfully gone through the autumn-winter period of years 2006-2007

In Perm took place an information meeting of management of energy companies, working on Perm Territory, with representatives of mass media. The meeting was devoted to the finished autumn-winter period.

During autumn-winter period of the years 2006-2007 Territorial generating company No. 9 steadily provided consumers of Perm Territory, Sverdlovsk region and Komi Republic with electric energy and heat.

During the period from October 2006 to March 2007 generating stations of the company on Perm Territory generated 5,4 billion K.W.H. of electric energy, heat energy drawing was 11,1 million Gkal.

The guarantee of steady going through the autumn-winter period by the production branches of TGC-9 became timely preparation for the season of increased loads. On Perm Territory during preparation for winter they carried out repairs of equipment on the sum of 835 million RUR. Within the limits of major and mid-life repairs they have repaired 11 steam generating units (total power – 2520 tons/hour), 10 turbosets (total power – 360 megawatt), within the limits of current repairs – 62 steam generating units, 25 turbosets, 14 hot-water boilers, 2 hydroelectric generators.

For successful going through the autumn-winter maximum loads of the years 2006-2007 TGC-9 has also conducted the staff training, antiemergency and fire fighting trainings, formed the store of the reserve fuel that was regularly refueled during winter.

In steady, accident-free operation the network complex “Permenergo” has gone through the autumn-winter period.

Total number of technological failures on networks from November 2006 to March 2007 decreased in comparison with the similar period of 2005-2006 from 336 incidents to 286 (on 15%), including incidents on HL 35-110 kilovolt from 48 to 41 (on 15%), on SS 35-110 kilovolt from 31 to 24 (on 22,5%), on distribution networks 0,4-10 kilovolt from 257 to 221 (on 14%).

Average time of fault clearing in the city of Perm was 1 hour 20 minutes.

Decline of number of technological failures became possible because of rather mild weather conditions and serious preliminary work that was executed by the company during preparation for winter. Particularly within the limits of the yearly repairing program they repaired more than 1100 km of transmission lines 35-110 kilovolt, among which HL-110 kilovolt “HPP-6 – HPP-9” in Perm, “Titan – HPP-2” and “Titan – Solikamsk” in Berezniki, “Osa – Barda” in the south of Perm Territory.

They repaired more than 34 substations 35-110 kilovolt, including SS “Perm”, “Krohalevka”, “Zarechye”, “Overyata”, “Lysva”, “Silvinit” and others. In distribution networks they repaired more than 2000 km of transmission lines 0,4-10 kilovolt and 900 transformer and distribution centers.
