Aeroflot introduced changes into the rules of baggage and passengers carriages

In accordance with Air Law of the Russian Federation and government regulation Aeroflot Board introduced changes and supplementary statements into Instruction on Air Carriages of Passengers and Baggage aiming to protect the interests and health of passengers on board of airliners.

Earlier for the purpose of security Aeroflot reserved the right to refuse transporting a passenger on the stage of registration, pre-flight services or after the flight; in case of extraordinary event aborting the flight and removing the passenger and his baggage from the plane in an intermediate airport. Now a passenger can be also refused in seat reservation in case he/she used to break the Rules of Conduct earlier and also on the basis of officially made notice.

If a passenger is refused in transportation for breaking the Rules the money paid by him for air carriage is not refunded.

As it has been communicated earlier in 2003 Aeroflot refused transporting back 11 passengers who made acts of abuse on board of airliner.

Aeroflot-Russian Airlines (RTS: AFLT) is the largest Russian Company. The state owns 51 per cent of its stocks. It was established in 1923. It controls 11 per cent of home and 39 per cent of international market of air carriages of Russia. According to RAP net income amounted to 3 978 million rubles in 2003. In 2003 Aeroflot transported 5.9 million passengers. There are 92 airliners in its fleet. Its headquarter is located in Moscow in Sheremetyevo Airport.
