Mr. Pavel Livinskiy introduced the new CEO of Rosseti Kuban to the Krasnodar Region Governor and discussed the regional power grid development with the head of the constituent entity

The working meeting between Mr. Veniamin Kondratiev, Kuban Governor, Mr. Pavel Livinskiy, Rosseti CEO, and Mr. Sergey Sergeev, Rosseti Kuban CEO, was held in the Krasnodar Region Administration on July 19. Mr. Andrey Alexeenko, Senior Deputy Head of Krasnodar Region, also attended the meeting.

During the dialogue, Mr. Pavel Livinskiy introduced  Mr. Sergey Sergeev, the new CEO of the Kuban power grid company who used to supervise the capital construction unit in Rosseti Group pf Companies .

The governor congratulated the Company's new CEO with appointment and noted that Sergey Sergeev was born in the region and, consequently, knows about the region's problems firsthand.

"Thanks for special attention to the Krasnodar Region. The loads peak in summer in the region. That's why the Azov and Black Sea regions have the power deficiency. So we need a specific approach here," noted Veniamin Kondratiev.

The Parties discussed the top priority development areas of the region's power grids, in particular, the program of prospective development of the Krasnodar Region power industry for 2020-2024, the utilization of the feed centers, the efforts to develop the power grids of the region, and the consolidation of the power grid assets.

Mr. Veniamin Kondratiev noted that the company has invested over RUB 8 billion in upgrading and construction of power facilities in recent years. These efforts helped reduce the total blackouts in the region.

According to Pavel Livinskiy,  reconstruction and construction of new substations and linear facilities in the region are under special control of Rosseti Group.

"Consolidation of the power grid assets is one of the key objectives now, so that the operating standards of regional grid operators would meet the highest reliability and efficiency requirements. I would like to emphasize your support for further implementation of the digitalization program. "We are finalizing a number of pilot projects in the Sochi power cluster this year, which would help reduce the operating costs," noted Pavel Livinskiy.

The efforts to develop power grids, according to Rosseti Kuban's long-term investment program  for 2019/ 2022 require the aggregate commissioning of  2,900 MVA transformer capacity and construction of almost 2,500 km of power grids during reconstruction and new construction.
