Aeroflot has summed up its operating results for May and five months of 2004

Aeroflot-Russian Airlines operating results for May and five months of 2004 have been summed up.

In May the airline company carried 570,200 passengers (including 3,800 passengers of charter flights) and 10,600 tons of post and freight. There were made 1.670 billion passenger-kilometers and 211.2mln ton-kilometers.

In May 2004 operating volumes have increased in comparison with the last year: according to passenger-kilometers – by 26.4 per cent, according to ton-kilometers – by 29.7 per cent, according to carriage of passengers – by 24.6 per cent, according to freight carriage – by 29.1 per cent.

Percentage of enplaned traffic amounted to 55.3 per cent in May; passenger seats’ occupation rate was 65.1 per cent, and it exceeded the last year level.

For five months of 2004 the airline company carried 2.409 million passengers and 54,100 tons of post and freight. There were made 7.556 billion passenger-kilometers and 996.7 million ton-kilometers.

In comparison with the last year operating volumes have increased: according to passenger-kilometers – by 18.7 per cent, according to ton-kilometers – by 25.3 per cent, according to carriage of passengers – by 19.0 per cent, according to freight carriage – by 29.9 per cent.

Percentage of enplaned traffic amounted to 56.9 per cent; it exceeded the last year level by 3.4 per cent. Passenger seats’ occupation rate amounted to 66.9 per cent; it exceeded the last year level by 3.4 per cent.

During five months of 2004 473,600 tons of aviation kerosene was consumed. Fuel rate amounted to 474 gram per a ton-kilometer; it was reduced by 41 gram compared with the last year level.
