611 single-phase metering devices of electric power 586.01 R&M with remote gages of capacity of R&M 109.01 are installed in three settlements of Karsunsky region of the Ulyanovsk oblast. Metering devices of the new generation are referred to the category of intellectual electronics. Indications are read out by means of special devices of the automated network and stored in memory of the counter at least 30 years. The measuring information is inaccessible to updating and consequently for any date and hour remains is invariable-exact. Counters are equipped with interfaces for remote data transmission about consumption of electric energy. Now there is no need for controlers to enter houses of consumers in order to read indications. It is enough once in a month to pass with the computer along the street, and the necessary information will be automatically read. Besides new metering devices allow to exclude possibility of uncntrolled current consumption and the latent connection of loading to electric network. According to experts of the Ulyanovsk distribution grids, the branch of IDGC of Volga, JSC during operation of metering devices in a private sector appreciable decrease in losses of the electric power is observed. R&Ì 586.01 is an expensive device, but there is no need for the population to pay for it. Assembling and installation are carried out using company's resources within the limits of the program for modernization and reconstruction. Moreover, manufacturer guarantee extends on counters for 5 years . It is necessary to note that the given metering device keeps its functional characteristics in a range of air temperatures from + 50 to – 40 degrees.
