The Ministry of economic development summed up on Thursday the results of contest “ The national customer of the year”. Transneft was considered the best national customer among the natural monopolies.
According to Andrey Sharonov, deputy head of the economic development Ministry, within the frame of the contest  there were analyzed activities on placement of the state order more than 44 federal and 70 regional executives authorities, more than 300 municipal customers and 9 units of natural monopolies. The winners were selected by the Ministry in accordance with the quantity of contracts concluded, results of contests and indicators of budget funds saving as result of the contest conducting.
According to Sharonov, the contest was aimed at popularization of execution of the competitive state purchases. “The number of contests at execution of the state purchases is constantly growing. Now it is not the contest itself, but practice at all”, Sharonov said.  For the last 4 years number of contests has grown up to 68 ths from 22 ths, and volume of the state purchases under the contest- from 120 bln RUR to 450 bln RUR annually.
“Placement of orders on competitiveness basis is source of sufficient saving of the budget funds” ministry executive said. Last year, owing to the contest such a saving amounted to 10,7% for the federal budget and 6% for the regional budgets”, Sharonov said.
