New season of Sakhalin oil transportation

Large-tonnage tankers of the Primorsk Shipping Corporation “Primorye” and “Azija” have opened new season of Sakhalin oil transportation. In the end of May m/t “Azija” made its first voyage from De-Kastri to South Korean port Yosu. This tanker of 40,000 tons dwt. will work on this route for half a year delivering oil from the northern port of Khabarovsk Krai to consumers of North – Eastern Asia countries. Early in June m/t “Primorye” of 105,000 tons dwt. will come up to the floating oil terminal to take aboard 100,000 tons of oil extracted at oil platform “Molickpack” and supplied to “Okha” through marine pipeline. Oil extracting season at Vitiaz Oil Terminal including “Molickpack” and “Okha” began in early June and will continue for all ice-free period i.e. approximately till the middle of December. All this time m/t “Primorye” will transport oil extracted at Piltun-Astokhskoye oil field. For PRISCO Aframax this Sakhalin navigation will be the fourth. In 2001 PRISCO won tender of “Sakhalin Energy” for transportation of oil from Vitiaz Oil Terminal. Last years tanker “Primorye” successfully fulfilled works for “Sakhalin Energy” so it has entered into a new time-charter contract for large-tonnage PRISCO tanker for 6 months to deliver Vitiaz oil to Buyers. First voyage of Primorye will be transportation of oil to Japan. In the end of May PRISCO tanker “Belogorsk” of 3,000 tons dwt made supply voyage to Vitiaz Oil Terminal. Vessel delivered 2500 tons of diesel oil for needs of the oil production terminal.
