Results of working meeting between Alexey Miller and Sergey Sobyanin

A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Gazprom’s Management Committee Chairman and Sergey Sobyanin, Governor of the Tyumen Region, was held today at Gazprom’s Headquarters.

The parties debated implementation of the Cooperation Agreement adopted between Gazprom and the Tyumen Region’s authorities, cooperation prospects for 2004-2005 as well as issues related to the regional consumers’ gas debt repayment and gas consumption intensification in the Tyumen Region.

Reference:

Gazprom and the Tyumen Region entered into a 5-year Cooperation Agreement on 22 January 2002.

Last year, Gazprom provided the Tyumen Region with some 1.2 bcm of gas and the same amount is targeted for this year.

In 2003, gas deliveries to the Tyumen Region were paid up for at 100% and the regional consumers’ gas debt declined from RUR 387.3 million to RUR 227.3 million (as of 1 January 2004).

Over January to April 2004, the Tyumen Region’s gas payments fell to 91.4%, leading to the debt increase, which amounted to RUR 258.9 million, as of 1 May 2004.

As of January 1, the Tyumen Region’s gas supply infrastructure was developed at 25%. Within the Program on gas deliveries to the RF regions, Gazprom invested last year RUR 211 million in building the gas industry facilities in the Tyumen Region. This year, Gazprom and the Tyumen Region’s authorities plan to channel for these purposes some RUR 115 million and 226.8 million, respectively.
