Moscow, January 27, 2006. On January 25 the working meeting on the issues of perspective development of digital television in the Tula region took place at the office of the Tula region Administration.

Deputy Governor of the Tula region Vladimir Obrazumov, acting Deputy General Director – Director of the Tula branch of OJSC «CenterTelecom» Nikolai Zhuk, Adviser to General Director of the company Vasily Pavlov, Director of Radio Communication, Radio Broadcasting and Television Department of CenterTelecom Petr Martyshechkin, Deputy Director of Radio Communication, Radio Broadcasting and Television Department Natalya Dolgova and management of Transport and Communication Department of the Tula region Administration took part in the meeting.

Top managers of the Tula branch of OJSC «CenterTelecom» offer the participants of the meeting a number of variants of technical solution for creation of digital television network in the region. At the same time the representatives of the company noted that at the current moment CenterTelecom has all the necessary technical potential for implementation of the project. At the moment telecommunication infrastructure created by the company in the Tula region is the up-to-date high speed and reliable communication network which is the significant advantage over the other communication operators in the region who are ready to take part in development of digital television in the region.

Besides that, participants reached understanding of the fact that for the project implementation the support of the Tula region Administration would have significant influence in solution of the issues related to allocation of radio frequencies, coordination of the coverage zone, provision of the socially unprotected population with radio sets with social package of programs and help in issuing of a number of permissive documents.
