Aeroflot has summed up its operating results for November and eleven months of 2003

December 17, 2003, Moscow. Aeroflot-Russian Airlines operating results for November and eleven months of 2003 have been summed up.

In November Aeroflot carried 435,500 passengers (including 3,200 passengers of charter flights) and 12,400 tons of post and freight. There were made 1.411 billion passenger-kilometers and 196.6mln ton-kilometers. Operating volumes have increased in comparison with the last year: according to passenger-kilometers – by 8.8%, according to carriage of passengers – by 10.7%, according to ton-kilometers – by 10.1%, according to freight carriage – by 9.9%.

Passenger seats? occupation rate amounted to 70.2% and exceeded the last year rate by 6.7%. Percentage of enplaned traffic exceeded the last year level by 4.4% and amounted to 61.7%.

During eleven months there were carried 5.402mln passengers and 103,700 tons of post and freight; there were made 16.738 billion passenger-kilometers and 3.061 billion ton-kilometers. Operating volumes have increased in comparison with the last year according to all the indicators: according to passenger-kilometers – by 2.6%, according to ton-kilometers – by 4.0%, according to carriage of passengers – by 6.3%, according to freight carriage – by 4.1%.

Percentage of enplaned traffic exceeded the last year level by 0.5% and amounted to 57.0%. Passenger seats? occupation rate also exceeded the last year level by 0.6% and amounted to 69.4%

They have flown in the aircraft fleet on the whole by 1.3% hours more than in 2002. The average daily flight time per a properly functioning plane amounted to 9.9 hours (vs. 9.6 hours in 2002).

According to Aeroflot Director General Valery Okulov, November results show the positive trend increase beginning from the second half of the year. “In fact we exceeded the last year level according to all the indicators that revealed the efficient work of Aeroflot staff and management”, Mr. Okulov thinks.
