Aeroflot has summed up its operating results for June and six months of 2004

Aeroflot-Russian Airlines operating results for June and six months of 2004 have been summed up.

In June 2004 the airline company carried 654,400 passengers (including 4,200 passengers of charter flights) and 11,000 tons of post and freight. There were made 1.923 billion passenger-kilometers and 235.5mln ton-kilometers.

Operating volumes have increased according to all indicators in comparison with the last year: according to passenger-kilometers – by 23.8 per cent or by 370.1 million passenger-kilometers, according to ton-kilometers – by 27.3 per cent or by 50.5 million ton-kilometers, according to carriage of passengers – by 25.3 per cent or by 132,000 passengers, according to freight carriage – by 32.1 per cent or by 2,615,700 tons.

Percentage of enplaned traffic amounted to 57.3 per cent in June; passenger seats’ occupation rate was 69.8 per cent.

For six months of 2004 Aeroflot carried 3.062 million passengers and 65,200 tons of post and freight. There were made 9.482 billion passenger-kilometers and 1.232 billion ton-kilometers.

Passenger seats’ occupation rate exceeded the last year level by 3.1 per cent, and it amounted to 67.5 per cent.

Percentage of enplaned traffic amounted to 57 per cent; it exceeded the last year level by 3.2 per cent.

In comparison with the last year operating volumes have increased according to all indicators: according to passenger-kilometers – by 19.7 per cent (or by 1561.5 million passenger-kilometers), according to carriage of passengers – by 20.3 per cent (or by 516,100 passengers), according to ton-kilometers – by 25.7 per cent (or by 251.8 million ton-kilometers), according to freight carriage – by 30.3 per cent (14,733,500 tons).

They have flown on all airline types on the whole by 17,510 hours (+17.3 per cent) more than last year.

The average daily fly of hours per an average properly functioning plane amounted to 9.6 hours; this equals the last year level.
