On 15th January, 2005 in conformity with the decision of the ALROSA Supervisory Board Vladimir Kalitin stepped down as Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board, acting on a permanent basis.

By the order of ALROSA President Alexander Nichiporuk and on approval by the Supervisory Board Chairman Alexey Kudrin Vladimir Kalitin has been appointed as ALROSA First Vice-President for Technological Policy beginning from January 16, 2005.

Mr. Kalitin will be in charge of the Company’s technological policy and operation development strategy in the areas where ALROSA mines and projects are located.
