The project of digital modernization of Rosseti city control centers was launched in the Udmurt Republic

Pavel Livinskiy, Director General of Rosseti, and Alexander Brechalov, the Head of the Udmurt Republic, launched the first digital city control center (CCC) in Izhevsk. The grand ceremony of delegation of authority to the ñontrol engineers of the new CCC took place today, September 19, as part of the Gunsmith Day in the capital of the Udmurt Republic. The new modern facility was a holiday gift to the Armory Capital of Russia.

Izhevsk CCC was established as part of the Digital Transformation 2030 project, implemented by Rosseti under the decree of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin. The control center is equipped with digital communication channels and information systems, which will enable to control the entire electric grid complex of the Republic capital online: to monitor the state of electric grid facilities, including the operation and repair of electric grid equipment, analyze the quality parameters of electric power, and coordinate the work of on-site and repair teams. Some operations will be performed automatically. All this will allow power engineers to reduce significantly the duration of technological failures, to increase the reliability of power supply to consumers, and to bring client services to a new level.

As noted by Pavel Livinskiy, Director General of Rosseti, the launch of the Izhevsk control center, modernized based on digital technologies, gives rise to a large-scale project for the reconstruction of similar facilities in all regions of the company’s presence.

“City control centers will be created to manage networks in cities with a population of over 100 thousand people. As for electric grid complex of entire regions, we are creating united digital network control centers where dispatch management of the electric networks areas will be carried out. By the end of this year, nine network control centers, two digital electric networks areas, and more than 480 thousand smart metering devices will be installed in the Central and Volga Federal Districts,” said Pavel Livinskiy.

Alexander Brechalov, the Head of the Udmurt Republic, appreciated the contribution of the world largest electric grid company to the development of the region.

“Electric power is the basis for a comfortable life of the population and economic development of the republic. The agreements concluded with Rosseti are being effectively implemented and have already proved their usefulness in the implementation of socially significant projects in the Republic. Network assets were successfully consolidated, now a modern innovative control center is opened, as well as other projects are being implemented as part of the digital transformation concept. All this is an investment in improving the quality of life of Udmurt Republic consumers,” said Alexander Brechalov.

Igor Makovsky, General Director of Rosseti Center, the management company of Rosseti Center and Volga Region, noted the effective collaboration between power engineers and the Udmurt Republic. “The high level of mutual understanding with the leaders of the regions our company operates in allows us to successfully implement such investment intensive and socially significant projects, increasing the reliability of electricity supply and bringing the electric power industry to a new level of development. And the Udmurt Republic is a case in point. The fact that it became a pioneer in digital transformation shows the attention that the leadership of the Republic and Alexander Brechalov personally pay to these issues. We hope to broaden cooperation with the Udmurt Republic and find new platforms for effective teamwork, ”said Igor Makovsky.
