Today, September 23, Alexander Novak, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, led the extended meeting attended by Vyacheslav Bitarov, the Head of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania, and Pavel Livinskiy, General Director of Rosseti. During this meeting, the Head of the federal energy department appreciated the joint efforts of the Rosseti Group and the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania in implementation of the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 544 dated April 30, 2018.

He emphasized that any actions should be aimed at improving the quality of life and business environment of the region’s residents, and in this case, the consolidated efforts of business community and the government produce the desired result.

“Modern energy system is a precondition for the social and economic development of any region. That is why it is extremely important to ensure the stability of the financial situation of the energy infrastructure, and this requires a 100% payment for the services of resource supply organizations. In this regard, the Government of the Russian Federation pays close attention to the implementation of the Decree No. 534. Today, positive dynamics are shown in North Ossetia, but much remains to be done, so the joint work of the region and Rosseti Group should be continued. Separately, I note that along with improving the economy of network enterprises and modernizing high-voltage power networks, it is important to pay attention to the development of modern low-voltage networks that enter the homes of the Republic residents. This issue is controlled by the Ministry of Energy,” said Alexander Novak.

The Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation also instructed to complete the consolidation of the region’s electric grid assets on the basis of Rosseti Group as soon as possible. “This measure will solve the problem of electricity losses and provide an equally high quality of services for all consumers of North Ossetia,” added Alexander Novak.

The investment program for the development and reconstruction of the electric grid complex in North Ossetia was discussed at the event along with the implementation of the Decree.

“Rosseti Group works exclusively in the interests of consumers in every region of its presence, without exception. The adopted and implemented concept of Digital Transformation 2030, which implies the widespread introduction of modern technologies, will allow residents and the business community of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania to experience the improvement in the quality, reliability and availability of power supply in the near future. They also will experience the benefits of offered additional services which are one of the strategic directions of the company’s development,” said Pavel Livinskiy during the meeting.

In turn, Vyacheslav Bitarov, the Head of the Republic, assured the federal minister and representatives of the electric grid holding of the full support from North Ossetia authorities.

“The Republic is interested in developement of the intelligent electric grid complex. It is important that projects aimed at providing the Republic with high-quality electricity are being implemented. The business relationship of the Republic with the Ministry of Energy and the structural units of Rosseti is actively developing, and this is a long-term and effective cooperation,” said Vyacheslav Bitarov.

Before the meeting, the participants had a look at the exposition of socially important industry facilities that the Rosseti group is constructing to increase the energy security of all entities of the North Caucasus Federal District.
