ROSSETI

December 18, 2019

The Rosseti Group introduced new capacities for consumers of several federal districts

On December 18, 2019, the Rosseti Group commissioned several modern power facilities in Irkutsk and Tyumen Oblast, that significantly increase the systemic reliability of power supply to consumers in several regions of Ural, Siberian and Far Eastern Okrug and provide the stock of transformer power necessary for further socio-economic development of these territories.

Head of the holding, Pavel Livinskiy, Director General of Rosseti PJSC took part in the remote launch of the first power supply centers of the Rosseti Group in Irkutsk Oblast - 500 kV Ust-Kut and 220 kV Sukhoi Log substations.

In parallel with this landmark event for the Unified National Electric Grid in Tyumen Oblast, two new substations of the voltage class of 110 kV ‘Prichal’ and ‘Molodezhnaya’ were opened to meet the growing demand for electric power in the regional center and Tyumen Oblast.

The power facilities opened today have become yet another important step of the Rosseti Group towards the implementation of the concept of ‘Digital Transformation 2030’. Our consumers, both industrial and household, will soon experience significant improvements in the quality and accessibility of electricity transmission services. In addition, we have created the necessary infrastructural conditions for the construction of a massive housing resources, as well as the development of large industrial projects and industries, that will undoubtedly have a positive impact on improving the living standards of Russians and will give impetus to the creation of new jobs,” Pavel Livinskiy said.

The launch of the facilities of the Rosseti Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System (FGC UES) was the final stage in the creation of the Peleduy Energy Ring passing through Irkutsk Oblast, Zabaykalsky Krai, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and Buryatia.

The commissioning of these facilities eliminates the power shortage in the north-east of Irkutsk Oblast, creates additional links between the western energy district of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Unified Energy System of Russia, provides reliable power supply to large industrial consumers, including the East Siberia – Pacific Ocean pipeline system, Baikal-Amur Railway, petrochemical, gas, and gold mining enterprises of the country.

Power facilities of the distribution complex, launched in Tyumen Oblast, increase the reliability of power supply to existing consumers in the region and create a significant reserve of capacity for the construction of new residential neighborhoods.

All commissioned substations and power lines were built with the use of almost 100% domestic equipment and software systems.
