The corporate presentation day will take place on August 25 and 26.

On August 25, in St. Petersburg, in business centre “Respect” IV Corporate presentation day of IDGC of North-West began its work. In the work of CPD more than 40 Russian and foreign companies took place. Among them are the producers of cable and power equipment for distribution grids. In the activities of CPD the technical managers and specialists of IDGC of North-West branches take place.

“We hold the fourth such corporate presentation day so far, the next one will be the jubilee one, thus, we can sum up the results of what we’ve done” says Georgiy Turlov, Representative of the Organizational Committee and Chief Engineer of IDGC of North-West at the opening of CPD, “Even now we can say that the efficiency factor of our CPD is high enough. There is a lot of good in it, but we shall increase the efficiency factor. Summing up the results of the earlier carried out presentation days we’ll see that the word “use of unprotected wires” escaped of the practice of IDGC of North-West”. Today, all the people understand that to hang the unprotected wire at lines of 0.4-10 kV is a waste of money. There are a lot of proposals and the choice depends on engineers and technical specialists. One CPD was completely dedicated to relay protection means so that the micro processor equipment could get the larger distribution. In 2006 in Japan, for example, more than 60 percent of the relay protection means were on the basis of the microprocessors, but in our country such cases are almost exceptions.

As Georgiy Turlov says “the process is on, and to make it public and competitive and to help all people show the new technology we carry out our CPD”.

Work of the IV Corporate presentation day began with the moment of silence in remembrance of  those who died at the failure of Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP.

The activities will be carried out on August 25 and 26. Within the framework of IV CPD they will watch the multimedia presentations of the companies-producers of the cable and power equipment. The presentation of CPD internet portal will take place. Besides all this, they will present to the participants the unique experience of IDGC of North-West: 220 kV bearing constructions arrangement with the help of helicopter together with the book of G. Smelkov “Fire safety of the electric wire” recently produced together with the project “Russian Cable”, as well as movable power technical laboratory on the base of  “Mercedes” car of “Electrolab” company.
