(LONDON, 20 February 2008) - PIK Group (LSE: PIK), one of Russia’s leading residential real estate developers, today announces the acquisition of two new land plots in the city of Yaroslavl.
The city of Yaroslavl, which has a population of approximately 635,000, is the administrative capital of the Yaroslavl Region. Located approximately 266km to the north of Moscow on the Volga River., Yaroslavl is an important industrial centre.
The total area acquired is 88 hectares and PIK plans to develop 880,000 sq. meters of housing on the site. The two land plots are located close to PIK’s current developments in Yaroslavl, namely “Sokol” and “Bragino” and their acquisition brings the total developable square meterage in the city over 1,1MM sq. metres.
