RBC magazine becomes Russia's most popular business publication

Moscow, September 16, 2008 - According to the recent audience survey held by TNS Gallup Media for the period from March to July 2008, the RBC magazine owned by OAO RBC Information Systems (MICEX, RTS: RBCI) became the most popular business title in Russia, leaving behind the Russian edition of Forbes. The all-Russia average issue readership (AIR) of the RBC magazine increased 14%, compared to the result of the previous survey, and reached 787,700 people, while the AIR of Forbes amounted to 698,900 readers.

The audience of the RBC Daily newspaper in Moscow went up 13% to 98,800 readers over the same period. As a result, RBC Daily achieved almost the same audience share in Moscow as the Vedomosti newspaper, the AIR of which totaled 104,100 people.

"Our business titles very quickly occupied top positions on the market, thanks to strong synergies between our electronic and print media resources and high recognition of the RBC brand. Thus, RBC has become an absolute leader on the business information market in Russia within the Internet, television and print media segments. In 2009, we expect to see a significant increase in the volume of advertising contracts, and high ratings of the company's resources will support this growth, as advertising clients are willing to commit more ad budgets to market leaders," RBC Media General Director Artyom Inutin said.

At the same time, RBC's interior design titles Idei Vashego Doma and Salon Interior again reconfirmed their status of the most popular magazines in the segment of architecture and design publications. The all-Russia AIR of Idei Vashego Doma amounted to 1,906,900 people, while the audience of Salon Interior reached 768,100 readers.
